Qld: Court hears of confession
A Brisbane court has heard police recorded the confession of a man charged over the
Childers backpacker hostel blaze on a $10 note.
Meanwhile, the magistrate has found there is sufficient evidence for the ROBERT PAUL
LONG to stand trial.
Brisbane magistrate MICHAEL HALLIDAY will wait until Monday to decide whether to commit
ROBERT PAUL LONG to trial after hearing defence evidence yesterday.
Two police officers say LONG confessed to them after he was shot in the right arm during
a police hunt.
