NSW: Kidnap note, ransom plan found in search say police

A man accused of abducting and killing missing Sydney woman KERRY WHELAN has appeared in
court.

46-year-old BRUCE BURRELL, of Bungonia near Goulburn, faced Central Local Court yesterday
charged with murdering the 39-year-old mother of three.

Police say a note outlining a kidnap plan and a ransom note were found at BURRELL'S
southern highlands property during a five-day search conducted almost two years ago.

BURRELL -- who's court appearance follows a 22-month search for Mrs WHELAN -- was not
required to enter a plea.

He's been ordered to reappear in the same court on May 20.

Mrs WHELAN body hasn't been recovered but investigations are continuing.

BURRELL was a former employee of Mrs WHELAN husband -- millionaire Sydney businessman
BERNARD WHELAN.
