SA: Hicks notes talk of Jihad and reveal his weapons training

ADELAIDE, Feb 22 AAP - His lawyers say he no longer holds radical views and hasn't
been a practising Muslim for several years.

But a series of personal papers, notebooks and letters to his family, released by a
court this week, show David Hicks once embraced jihad, or holy war, and trained extensively
in guerilla tactics.

The material included details on how to commit armed raids and ambushes and instructions
on how to penetrate security to kill a VIP or a highly-protected political figure.
